Members of the GiftedGirls leadership gathered together to challenge their team building skills, confidence and abilities. Together, we encouraged each other to pull through and remove their fears.
Monthly Movie Night
We hosted our 1st movie night on June 17th and our 2nd movie night on July 29th. We have committed to making this activity into a monthly event. The entrance fee: $2 donation with unlimited popcorn included. We sold several other snacks such as candy, nachos, drinks and chips. Our next movie night: August 19th (open to the community)
WEEKLY WORKOUTS
Every week we allow the children on Sunhine's Heart Inc. to get a opportunity to engage in a fitness activity. We would like to promote health and wellness. After each workout, the teens are provided with nutritional snacks and energy drinks. Our workouts are lead by the leaders of Gifted Girls including: Jakia & Raniya.
Our 1st Beach Clean-Up
GiftedGirls Hosted Our 1st Beach Clean-Up On June 27,2015. Our Volunteers Performed Phenomenally Even In The Blazing Heat! We collected over 8 full bags of trash and even distributed community service hours.
School Supply Drive/Recruiting Event
After weeks of collecting supplies we were honored to donate a few supplies to Cabre Safe Haven & the Miami Gardens Bulldogs Back to school drives. We also had an opportunity to recruit new upcoming members for the 2015-2016 school year.
GiftedGirls Hosted Our 1st Workshop On June 6 Discussing The Importance Of Having Self-Confidence! We Had A AMAZING Time. We Danced, Played Games & Shared Advice But Most Importantly, We Connected.
